Originally from the Cincinnati, Ohio area, I moved to Savannah, Georgia in 2023. I am married with four (yes, 4) children!

I obtained a Master's degree from the University of Cincinnati and have more than 24 years of experience working in the social work/counseling/therapy profession.
Couples therapy has become a special interest of mine and once discovering Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I decided to focus on working with relationship issues offering more attention to couples and relationship issues in my practice. EFT is very effective at identifying negative patterns in the relationship (that may have been there for many years) and helping to see underlying unmet emotional needs, fears, and desires which moved us toward healing and ending those destructive patterns. Intimacy and sexual issues are often part of the relationship dymanic that needs to be addressed.
I am currently completing a certificate in sex therapy to add to my credentials.
In addition to my work with couples and relationship issues, I also see many individuals. The number one reason that brings clients to my office is anxiety, followed by depression. I have many years of experience working with individuals struggling with anxiety and depression, as well as grief and loss, life transitions, family stress, and personal growth. For many years, I provided mental health services to children in public school and offer therapy services to adolescents age 13 and older.
In individual therapy, I use EFT, Cognitive Behavioral Approaches, as well as ACT, and Supportive talk therapy. No one approach works for everyone, and I rely a lot on my life experience and intuition to assist me identify needs of each person I work with.
I am less formal, and rely more on things coming up organically in therapy. I feel what needs to be addressed will come up given some time, trust, and safety in a non-judgmental space.

A new interest of mine has become animal assisted therapy and I am working with an adorable pup to add extra comfort and support during sessions. Miss Eva Las Vegas is just a little puppy now, but will begin training in November, and I am always looking to expose her to my office and clients, so if you are interested in having that companionship in your sessions, please let me know.

Walk and Talk
Sessions
Let's get outdoors and use the natural benefits of fresh air, sun, and exercise. We can take our sessions to Forsyth Park, Bonaventure Cemetery, or Lake Mayer and walk as we do therapy. Some people do better side by side moving forward rather than sitting in an office space.
